Praying through First Samuel, Chapter 30 – To Have a Good Attitude

I’m excited to share this 31-day marriage prayer series hosted by my friend and fellow blogger, Davonne Parks, The Tidy Mom. The series is taking place here at MarriagePrayers.today for the entire month of October.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Even though David was able to handle not being wanted, and even though he looked to You for life-giving encouragement, the rejection from others still hurt and discouraged him at times. Overcoming was hard.

Please show us how we can help each other to overcome rejection with positive attitudes. We don’t want to be the one who creates those negative feelings of not being wanted or not being good enough.

Teach us how to love each other well, in a way that makes overcoming rejection feel a little bit easier. Give us the right words to say, and the proper attitude when helping each other navigate through heartache and hurt.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
